Davie Timido was born to an extremely religious mother and an absentee father. He felt obligated to live up to his mother's high expectations, which were only in place due to his mother's lack of accomplishments in her own life. The only 'friend' he ever managed to make was an eccentric man named Ozzy Gwyar, whom his mother forbade from ever seeing due to the boy's "alternative look on religion". Davie grew up hating emself, eventually leading em to losing eir faith and deciding to run away from home
Too far away from home to turn back but not far enough to be able to find normal lodging, Davie began hitchhiking. Funnily enough, the one man who stopped to take Davie in was none other than Ozzy. Davie thought nothing of it and hopped right into his car. The two drove around aimlessly before ending up at Ozzy's house. He allowed dial to sleep in his attic. Over their time together, the two started dating, however Davie began noticing that Oz had started to limit where he could go. At first it was simply not wanting to go out for dates, then forbidding Davie from going outside at all, then not even allowing love to leave his attic. Far too late, Davie had realized he was a prisoner.
Soon it was revealed to Davie that from the very beginning, he was brought to Oz's place to serve as a human sacrifice for some strange god Oz seemed to worship. With any method of communication with the outside world revoked from love, love's mental state began to deteriorate. For days, love would wonder what would've happened if love had never left home and lived in self hatred all his life instead.
After weeks of being trapped, Davie managed to find a way to get the attic hatch open without Oz. The moment Oz left the house, Davie attempted to escape. He sprinted down to the first floor and went right for the landline, only to find that the cord on the phone had been cut. Oz had planned ahead. Unbeknownst to Davie, the grief and despair elicited by the notion that he had no way to escape is exactly what led to the manifestation of his stand Yankee Rose.
"Davie! Where are you at!?"
Japanese name | ヤンキーローズ |
User | Davie Timido |
Namesake | Yankee Rose (Song by David Lee Roth) |
Stand type | Range irrelevant Bound stand |
Yankee Rose is an artificial non-humanoid stand that takes the form of a red rotary phone bag. The bag is covered in bright red heart shaped stickers. When in use, the mouth of whoever Yankee Rose is used to call will appear on the earpiece
Yankee Rose, as its rotary phone appearance suggests, has the ability to contact anyone its uses wishes to, transferring the person's mouth onto the earpiece. Any damage the user does to the mouth will be applied once the call ceases. The call does not stop bodily functions, such as respiration, eating or regurgitation, meaning it is entirely possible for the user to jam things down their victim's throat or for the victim to spit something that was in their mouth prior to the call back at the user.
Once a call from Yanke Rose has been picked up, the victim cannot hang up
This ability, of course, does have its limits. The user is restricted to only three calls per day, the amount resetting at midnight, and each call only lasts one minute, totalling out to a maximum of three non-consecutive minutes in which the stand can be used.
